THE DUEL OF TWO PIANOS
This project is not “fusion” It’s a dramatic duel. Imagine two grand pianos sitting opposite each other like fencers. On one side, internationally renowned classical pianist Svetlana Smolina brings the brooding, expansive world of late‑Romantic Russian virtuosity. On the other, Latin Grammy-winning pianist Milton Salcedo radiates the rhythmic fire and improvisational swagger of Latin jazz. When Milton plays, he’s thinking in clave. When Svetlana plays, she’s thinking in rubato. The tension is delicious: Rhythmic precision vs. expressive elasticity. Romantic melancholy vs. tropical exuberance. Fortissimo del Fuego!
THE ALL-STAR BAND
Joining the pianos is an exclusive lineup of world-class musicians:
Alex Alexander (Richie Blackmore, Dido) – Drums & Percussion @ialexalexander
Mario Rodriguez (Al Di Meola, Gato Barbieri) – Electric & Acoustic Bass
Denis Dmitriev – Cello
Terry Heimat @terryheimat (Global Music Award Winner) – Trumpet
